THE BIG FLOOD
Last Thursday our school flooded. At around 10 O’ Clock It started to rain. The window was open and a bit of rain was coming in so we shut the window and cleaned the windowsill. At 11 O’ Clock the yard had alot of puddles scattered around the place. The water level started to rise very quickly. Our classroom had a tiny leak so we got some blue roll and ignored it. But then it got much worse so we got newspapers to soak up the water. The hall then started leaking but it was much worse than our classroom so most of the newspapers were used in the hall. Half of the people in our classroom had to go to another class. Flood services then arrived. Sandbags were put at all the leaking places and the flood was so bad we all had to go home at 2 O’ Clock. We had to use benches to get across the flooded car park. We all had hoped that school would be cancelled on Friday but it wasn’t cancelled.
We had a dramatic day at Rathbeggan!
TAG RUGBY
On Monday 10th November we had our first Tag Rugby session and it will continue up until Christmas. Our coach is John from Ratoath Rugby club. It was lots of fun. We played lots of fun games like No Mans Land. We play rugby every Monday. John starts by warming us up with Sea,Ship,Shore. We then do a few streches and play Bulldog. We then play either No Mans Land or Bomb.
We have heaps of fun with John!
